BHUBANESWAR, India -- After the recent bomb blasts in Bodh Gaya, Odisha chapter of Buddhist Society of India on Wednesday demanded more security cover and proper boundary wall at all Buddhist sites in the state.

At a state-level meet here, they pointed out that after deploying only two or three policemen at Dhauli, the state government is content that it has provided proper security cover.

There have been several incidents of anti-socials troubling tourists at Buddhist shrines, but all our prayers have gone unheard, they said.

"Several Buddha idols have been transferred from Ratnagiri to Delhi, Patna and Kolkata by Archaeological Survey of India and we demand that they are brought back to our state", said general secretary, Odisha chapter of Buddhist Society of India, Laxman Mallick.
